NICE TO MEET YOU
I’m Sharon Wilsie, founder of Horse Speak, educator, and lifelong student of behavior, communication, and nervous system regulation.
My work began through early immersion in both veterinary environments and animal observation, eventually evolving into decades of hands-on work with horses and people. I also taught for several years at Landmark College, working with neurodivergent students—an experience that deeply shaped my understanding of communication, learning, regulation, and human behavior.
Over time, I combined those experiences with extensive study in psychology, somatics, and animal behavior, developing what became the Horse Speak system: a practical, experience-based approach to communication and regulation that can be seen, felt, and applied in real time.
My guiding principle is simple:
“I trust what I see—and I can show you how to see it too.”

I'm Laura Wilsie
I am a full-time Horse Speak instructor, educator, and co-developer of the Horse Speak educational programs alongside Sharon Wilsie.
A former All-Star basketball player and Junior Olympic athlete with studies in psychology, communications, and business management, combines athletic discipline, nervous system awareness, and lifelong horse experience into my work with horses and humans.
For over sixteen years, I have helped teach Horse Speak clinics worldwide and played a lead hands-on role in the HRV observational work with Bo the horse under the supervision of Dr. Jen Juranek, helping demonstrate the translational and teachable nature of the Horse Speak method.
